FabIndia Tea Tree Face Wash Review

Hey Beauties !!

Recent times I got some pimples in my chin which were painful and I got it due to hot weather and ofcourse they left their marks when gone. I was searching for a facewash which cures the blemishes and found this in fabindia claiming that it reduces acne and pimples.

An antiseptic face wash ideal for oily skin, containing tea tree oil and turmeric extract. Daily use removes excess sebum reducing acne and pimples. 120 ml.

Ingredients: Purified Water, Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate, Cocoamidopropylbetaine, Sodium Chloride, Tea Tree Oil, Salicylic Acid, Guar Gum, Turmeric Extract, Citric Acid.

My Take on the Product (Fabindia Tea Tree face wash) : 

The face wash is a transparent gel in light green color and had a very mild smell and the smell did not disturb much. While cleansing it removes away all the dirt from your face and leave it fresh and clean. The main thing is it does make your face moisturized (I have a combination skin). This face wash does not give you a magic brightening effect but makes your face squeaky clean and when you touch your face you feel them soft. 

Coming to the pimple part, shockingly I got a small pimple next day but then that was the last one which i got, afterwards with regular use my acne stopped and I am happy to say that the blemish marks have reduced so well. I would not say it has gone 100% but 80% of the marks are gone now and am using this for a month. Girls if you have so much dry skin the moisturizing level will be low and you should use a moisturizer after the wash. 

Pros : 

Makes your face so clean and fresh.
Removes Eyeliner easily 
Blemishes are reduced well
Stops Acne to an extent 
Reasonably priced

Cons : 

You may get pimples initially based on skin type.
For dry skinned beauties, following up with moisturizer is required.

Overall, I am in love with this fabindia teatree facewash and would defintely recommend it to all.

Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation SPF15 Review and swatches

Hello Beauties !! Its Mac and Yes its expensive though but worth it for its quality. I got this Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation a year back along with Mac Studio Fix Compact and Mac Strobe cream. I went to the Mac store in a mall especially to buy the foundation and SA applied on me starting from the primer, foundation, compact, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick lolz.. So i went out of the mall to check the look on me on day light and took at-least 10 snaps in different lighting before i bought them as its expensive and I should be on the right foundation shade and mine matched with NC44.5 though i thought the lesser tone would do for me but SA said me so strong this is my right tone.
Note : Its been more than a year am using this so in the pictures shown the words might not look so bright.

What Mac Says about the Product :

My Take on the Product : 
Packaging : Here comes the tough thing because there is no pump given to dispense it and you might end up taking a lot more than required. Many times i have wasted and tried again to put the product inside the jar. But there will be no leakage once you have closed it tight.

Smell : The smell is like the usual Mac foundation and it settles down in few minutes after application.
Blend and Coverage : 
So, let me start with how it got blended with my skin. Its a runny liquid foundation and a little foundation is enough to get a mild coverage but you can still layer it to get a full coverage. It covers tiny spots and would not cover up if you have any black flat moles (I have it!!) and for those you have to use concealer. In case of pores, I have very very tiny which is not that visible but that was not covered much on first application but when you opt for full coverage then tiny pores would get covered. However if you have a very dry skin or combination skin tone for sure you have to apply a good moisturizer before applying this because it might show some dry patches. For oily skin you would not find any problem with dry patches by using this. I have some white heads near my chin and tiny black heads on my nose and this seems to get visible even with medium coverage which i don't like. We spending a lot in this foundation and we expect it to cover up those flaws. I would not say you don't need a concealer with this you would need it definitely for more intense colored spots.
Staying Power : The staying power is really great and it stays well for 6 hours for me (Only that long i have tried) without any touch up needed, but you have to set it with compact on top for long stay.
Shade : And coming to the shade, you have to choose the exact shade else it will darken you or show you with different tone which is not yours at all. These NC ranges are neutral yellow tones and is more suitable for Indian skin tones. You have to blend it well to get the right coverage and it gets blended so easily with a simple strokes. This Mac studio fix foundation has a SPF level of 15 which is so good for us if we are going out on sun. On three feet distance from your mirror you might notice the coverage you have got is awesome and your face looks flawless.

Sensitive : 
I have a very sensitive skin tone so i was scared with the list of ingredients (Of-course chemicals). But using this foundation did not break me at all. So its safe on skin.

Pros: 

• Blends well 
• It will lasts for a long 
• Lots of shades to choose from 
• Does not show you ashy at all if you are on right shade
• Covers the spots well 
• Covers you tanned areas
• Staying power is long in both AC and Non Ac environment

Cons :

• Appearance of dry patches if you have dry skin
• A little product forms a outline on pores which takes a extra effort to get it corrected
• Its damn expensive.

Overall I recommend this mac studio fix fluid foundation with SPF 15 for combination to oily skinned beauties because it does not make your oil come out even after 4 hours. For dry skinned beauties apply and check it well in the store if its not showing dry patches.

I was in the store checking out revlon foundation range and SA asked me try this matte lip balm.  I tried different shades of this range and loved this standout. I will review this shade today.

My Take on the Product : 
Packaging : 
The packaging is really cute for the balm where the outer cover is same as the color of the lip balm. We need not sharpen this and the quantity is so much that it will come for months for sure. You just push the cap and the lip balm is there in a perfect shape for easy application.

Color :
This shade standout has got a medium red and not a deeper red. Its kind of pinkish red shade.

Fragrance :
It just has the mint flavor and its a refreshing fragrance.
Texture : 
The texture of this lip balm is so creamy and smooth. You can feel this while you apply it. You would not feel heavy on wearing this lip balm.
Finish : 
On applying one swatch you will feel you are done hence getting them right is so easy. The standout color is kind a bold and I applied a little here and there and used my fingers to glide it well. Yes it gives a super matte effect but see to that you don't apply a lot, if so it tends to show your lips so much bright. Its best with one swatch itself applying too much will not get you the look and especially in photographs you cannot get it right with too much of this.
Longevity :
It stays the same for 3 to 4 hours but if you have food or drink something then a little is gone and you have to reapply it.

Sensitiveness :
I have a very sensitive skin tone and this made my lips a little darker so you have to do some regime to your lips like applying honey and do not wear this so long.

Pros :

• Excellent lasting power
• Gives the matte effect as claimed 
• Travel friendly package
• Does not feel heavy at all
• Blends easily 
• you don't need a base to make it stay longer

Cons :

• Fingers are necessary to glide it correct
• Will not cover fine lines
• Darken the lips if wearing long (I hope most of the lipstick has this problem)
• Cost is too much for a lip balm

Lakme Absolute Gel Addict Eyeliner Review Swatches Photos

As soon as I saw this newly launched gel eyeliner by lakme I wanted to buy them. I ordered it online through amazon and got it in two days. There are seven different shades in this range and i ordered the tempting teal shade.

My Take on the Product : 

It looks like a color paint pot which is small and cute. Its packed in a glass pot. At first i was searching for the brush on opening the cap. But i did not find it there and i found the brush after i just pulled the top of the cap. There is a section in between the cap and on pulling it you can see the brush. The brush was medium in size and thicker. The eye liner gel has a very smooth texture and tempting teal shade is in bluish-green color. When i dipped the brush in to the pot it just went inside the gel eyeliner as it had a so smooth texture. On applying with the brush (Aaahhh you really need to know the trick to apply gel eyeliner), it glides so smooth and i did not feel like am applying at all. I was not comfortable with the brush given because when i apply on a spot and applying again on the same spot takes of the already applied eyeliner. So i dabbed a little by little and then tried to glide it. The pigmentation is nice and it has very very tiny shimmer particles with the same teal color on it but the shimmer thing will not be shown up on your eyes. I tried applying this with the eyeliner brush i have and it came out so well. It takes some time to get dried and I need to layer to get the intense teal color.

On applying with the brush it also tends to get spread on your lash lines so you have to be very careful on applying. More product is required to get the best pigmentation. I applied and left it for four hours and noticed the eyeliner smudged a little in my lower lash line but upper lash line remained as it is. But the effect it gives to your eyes is nice and beautiful. You can skip your eye shadow if you are applying this on both upper and lower lash lines. I sprinkled some water on my eyes and found its waterproof but if you rub it with your hands a little will be gone :-(.. If you need a Aqua eyes look you can go with this tempting teal as it shows up your eyes

• I have a sensitive skin and it did not irritate my lash lines

Hello Beauties !! The one thing which we will never miss in our pouch is kajal. Yeah !! That adds beauty to our already beautiful eyes. We always want our kajal to be thick sometimes supreme black and no smudge with stay for long hours. Lorea'l a promising brand has introduced this smudge free long lasting kajal. I have used different kajals from Maybelline, Estee Lauder, Makeupforever.. I always loved the estee lauder among all of them. But when i saw this advertisement for Lorea'l I wanted to give a try for this one for the only one word smudge free. Because that's the most common problem we all go through with these kajals.

My Take on the product : 
First of all I will start with the packaging of this kajal. Its pure black with a little shiny pink which makes it attractive. It just looks like maybelline colossal kajal. When i opened it the tip of the kajal looked so neat and easy to apply. When I used my ring finger for a support on the cheek and tried to apply it gets spread on my lower lashes too but when I don't use my finger and just go on with the lash line it gets applied easily. With the first swatch you are not going to get that black effect its very light only with three swatches you will get that black effect.

I applied this and went out for shopping for 4 hours and when i came back home i found it did not smudge at all and it just looked like the same. Its bit tough for me to apply on the upper lashes because i found its always easy to apply a liquid eyeliner. I was just curious and applied this and slept for 8 hours lolz.. to check in the morning. Half of it was gone and half was there but it did not smudge at all.

Overall I recommend this kajal because it stays for a long with no smudge. Only thing you need to at-least swatch it 3 times to get the look. 

Maybelline Color sensational Lip Polish Pop 6 Review and Swatches

Hello Beauties !! Its maybelline Lip Polish Mania ... Whichever Websites i browse i see the Maybelline lip polish ad's to buy them. Yes I could not stop me from buying this. For a long time, I wanted to try a bold lip color because everytime I buy a lipstick I go with brown shaded or a neutral one because those colors suits well to anyone. So this time with maybelline lip polish I definitely thought I am not going to buy those shades and was in a bold side. So thats where Pop6 came to me.  There are 15 shades in this maybelline lip polish like Glam 1, Glam2, Pop1, Pop2 etc ...

My Take on the Maybelline color sensation lip polish Pop 6 : 

The lip polish comes in different colors but i opted for Pop 6. The packaging was so cute in look and it looked like a lip stick. They gave a brush to apply the lip polish and the brush was so soft to apply them on the lips. Brush is little tilted and bunch of very soft fibers sticking out. I loved the brush a lot.

The pop 6 was a bright and bold color. The color nears to a light to medium red and when you apply them on your lips wherever you are your lips will show you brighter. You have to be careful while applying because it tends to come out of the lips. It would be good if you can use lip pencil before you apply the lip polish. After you apply the lip polish you will feel something heavy on your lips. Yes you will be conscious of that. However the effect it gives you is so beautiful and really glossy, shiny. The staying time is more than two hours if you are not drinking or eating lolz.. After applying the lip polish with the brush I adjusted it using my fingers to get it right. If your skin is sensitive then you will feel some kind of a very very light heat/itchy sensation on your lips. It does not have any smell.

Pros :

• Brush given is so soft to apply and looks different from all the gloss brushes. 
• Gives a polish to the lips as claimed
• There are 15 shaded !! Wow !!

• A feel of heaviness on the lips

VLCC Insta Glow Party Facial Kit Review

Facials !!! Yes we all love to do it because it rejuvenates the look. I was in mall browsing through the VLCC facial kits. There were different kind of facial kits and was totally confused on what to buy. Previously I tried a facial kit from Joves and was not that satisfied. I love to go for parlor for a facial but yeah we are super lazy so I decided this time I do it on my own. Finally I purchased this VLCC insta glow facial kit. I got a anti pollution face wash free with this kit. I specifically bought this insta glow because I can't wait for two days for the facial to show its effect.

My Take on the Product : 

The whole pack looked green in color and inside the box there were four packets. They mentioned what to be applied first with clear instructions like Step 1, 2, 3 & 4. 

The four packets are : 

Indian Berberry Face Scrub

Saffron Massage Gel

Snigdha Face Cream

Insta Glow Face Pack

Step 1 with India Berberry Face Scrb : 

Indian Berberry face scrub that helps in exfoliation and rejuvenation of the skin and leaves it clean and refresh, porcelains and retexturises, cleans and refreshes the skin. Date extract and papaya deep cleanses and moisturises the skin.

Directions: Apply evenly on wet face and neck. Leave it on for 2-3 minutes. Then massage gently in circular motions for 3-4 minutes and then rinse it off.

It looked white in color with lots of scrub particles(papaya seeds). The amount of the scrub was high that we can use it next time but we can't keep the packet open as its not hygienic so i was forced to use them all. The smell was mild and I liked it. It smells like a flower got wet in rain lolz. After applying and massaging it with water for few minutes I washed it off with cold water. I felt a itchy sensation on my forehead and below my lips. I did not use more water while applying this scrub and this might be the reason for this. I saw a immediate effect like my face got brightened and smooth.

Step 2 with Saffron Massage Gel :

Saffron massage gel, ultra light massage gel that combines the virtues of Mulberry and Saffron lightens and brightens the skin while improving its texture.

Directions : Apply on clean skin and massage gently in upward and circular strokes with wet finger tips for 8-10 minutes.

The saffron gel was in light red color and I loved the way it looked. The smell of saffron gel was very nice. As soon as i applied the gel on my face I felt it so cool and soothing. On using this gel I felt so calm but it was tough for me to massage with this gel. I wanted to pinch on my cheeks and massage but this gel was super smooth and it did not leave me to do that. You can feel a super cold sensation on applying this. Washing this gel off was quite tough and took sometime. But the way my face looked after using this saffron gel was awesome. It kind a got a super glow. 

Step 3 with Snigdha Face Cream : 

Snigdha face cream, enriched with skin lightening co-agents like Mulberry and Lemon peel extract lightens skin pigmentation without dehydrating the skin and makes it look fairer and radiant.

Directions: Apply generously on clean skin and massage gently in circular and upward strokes for 10 minutes and rinse it off.

I am wondering why did they give two massage items here. Because already the massage is done with saffron gel and again with this face cream. The face cream was white in color and had too much of smell. Too much of cream was there and on applying it I really felt a heat sensation below my chin. I think its because am massaging a lot. Its so buttery cream and you can feel that while you apply it. For dry skinned beauties it works out but for oily skinned beauties it might make you little oily. Don't get this in to your eye, I got it :-(. After 10 minutes of massage i just wiped it off with moist cotton and took a steam for my face for not more than 10 minutes.

Step 4 with Insta glow Facial Kit :

Insta glow face pack contains Lavender and Rosemary to brighten the complexion, giving it a characteristic luminosity, radiance and softness.

Directions: Apply a generous layer on the face and let it be for 20 minutes and wipe it off with cold water.

So I was done with the steps 1,2 & 3 and came to the face pack. The face pack again looked white in color and was very thick. I had a doubt if i can apply it properly as it looked like it might fall off while applying. But I was able to spread it well. I loved the smell of this face pack it had a mixed smell of sandalwood. I applied this for 20 minutes but it got dried even sooner. After washing it off  I was not able to believe the glow it gave me. Yes its true for the name Insta Glow. 

Pros : 

• Each and every packet added a glow
• Did not dry out the face.
• Affordable price for a facial kit because in parlors they charge a lot.
• Fragrance is mild and nice.

Cons :

• Two massage cream is not required. They could have planned better.
• Packaging can be improved so we can use them for two facials. 

Overall, I recommend this, you can have this kit at home when you need a very urgent facial and you don't have time to go for a parlor.

Hey All !! Forest essentials brand brings authentic ayurvedic skin care and hair care products. I love to use Ayurveda Products because it does lots of good things to skin and does not have a single chemical as its ingredient. Forest essentials is one of my best ayurveda product from 2013. I love to read their ingredients. I ordered them online because in my city there is no forest essentials store. I use face wash, night cream, moisturizer from forest essentials. Among them I loved their face wash a lot and lot. I wanted to get a good scrub and I was browsing through their site and found this hand pounded organic fruit facial scrub. I read about its ingredients and wanted to purchase it. I got this directly from their store when I was in a vacation to chennai, India.

What Forest Essentials claims about their product :

My Take on the product :

This hand pounded organic fruit scrub is thicker and dark brown in color. A very little amount is enough for a good scrub. You can see a tiny seeds kind of scrubbers in this and they act as exfoliator. The smell of this scrub is kind of a deep fruity flavor like the fruit pulp. Even Without using water it spreads well and the when you do a massage with this scrub you can feel the seeds helping you to scrub well. I massaged for five minutes and then applied water and again massaged for two more minutes.
No irritation on skin or discomfort on using this. After washing off from my face I felt my skin super soft and it brightened my face. It actually moisturized the face well. Before rinsing I did a very light and gentle massage around eyes because area around our eyes are so soft. There won't be any foam when you rinse as there are no chemicals. Your washbasin may turn brown in color while rinsing due to the color of the scrub lolz.. Do not apply it on your lips while scrubbing because I felt a heat sensation on my lips after rinsing it off for a minute.

The smell did not go for a while but it did not disturb me. They generally say scrubbing once a week is very necessary for our facial regime and this scrub satisfies the need. It cleanses away all the dirt from the skin and gives you a fresh look. Using this scrub weekly, I feel i do some good thing to my face by not using harsh chemicals. Your skin will feel a coolness after using this scrub. We can use this before applying makeup for any important occasion because it gives a glow. Overall the scrub did not do me any harm or bring any pimple as I have a sensitive skin I will be scared of using any product. This scrub can be used on any skin type.

Pros :

• Removes the dirt with first application itself
• Does not bring any irritation or pimple
• Makes the skin so soft and smooth

Cons :

•  Smell stays for a while after rinsing

My Take on the Product : 

I purchased the Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening Serum along with the Lakme Perfect Radiance Intense Whitening creme. At first I thought this will be a kind of normal fairness creme. But actually it did not, the package was cute I loved the pink color and the color of creme had a tinge of pink. The consistency is nice in look and when i took little creme on my fingers it was so soft and I felt it like a baby creme. I applied few dots on my face and neck and started to spread them in upper direction from neck. The smell is like the previous intense radiance creme and like the intense whitening face wash. The smell did not disturb much and settles down in few minutes.

The creme was very light on the face and it got observed nicely on skin. I felt my face is too soft and moisturized. But girls you have to apply something on your face like compact if you more want to have a perfect makeup look. But if you want it to be natural just leave it with this because it really gives you a flawless look. I gave me shiny plus a flawless look. Still it does not cover any spots so your concealer should help you to cover your spots. And I applied Mac studio fix compact on top of it to give a good finish and yeah my face was now more perfect. I tried two ways with this cream one is I applied foundation plus compact on top of it and went for my cousin baby shower and makeup stayed well on me for 4 hours until i took it off. The other way is by applying only Mac studio fix compact and went for a shopping. This one was far better and I loved the look my face had got. It was so shiny and it stayed like that for more than 3 hours. Even after I came home with too much shopping my face looked the same like when i started from my home. But i got one pimple in my chin, when i left it stay on my face for a day (24 hours) as i was on travel and could not wash my face. But it did not break me more. It was just one and only once i got that with continuous use i did not find anything popping out.

Pros :

• It gives a shiny and flawless finish
• Affordable Price with good quantity. A little amount will do.
• Your friends will definitely ask you 'Aahhh your face is beautiful what are you using ??'.
• Gives you a perfect finish to go for a shopping
• A good makeup base 

Cons :

• I expected it to fade spots.
• Broke me out once but was fine with continuous use.
• Packaging can be improved.

I am so excited to show you all the swatches of Maybelline Color Show Glitter Mania Paparazzi Purple (606)  . I was in lifestyle showroom to look for maybelline color show glitter mania and SA told me its fast moving and is all done. I was little worried because i really wanted to try them on my nails. So i tried another store in mall and found them available (Wow!!). I got two colors glittery silver and purple.

I applied it on my nails very easily without no effort and with one swatch i found it to look gorgeous. Girls you definitely need to try them on.
The price is also not so high its only 125INR !!. During day as well as night hours it looks great on your nails. And don't worry it can be easily removed with any good nail polish remover and a cotton.
It just gets dried off soon in minutes after you apply so you can resume to your work in few minutes. It stays for more number of days.
Girls don't wait just grab some colors of glitter mania !! Here are the swatches in different lighting !!

My Take on the Product : 
Eyeliner is the most important product which will always be my favorite. I tried different eyeliners for the past years but was not really satisfied. In sephora store, I found different brands of eyeliners. Usually I use liquid eyeliners dipped with a small brush. Marc Jacob looks like a pen as the name says precision pen waterproof eyeliner. I tried in the store on my own and it was easy to use which has free flow on my eyes. I was able to apply a single coat easily at one stretch but yeah i was so careful on applying it. I wanted to check thicker look and tried a second coat on it.  It gave me complete blacky effect on the eyes which appears as if you have placed a black sticker which adds awesome effect after it dries. The applicator is neatly shaped and makes it darker when you apply slow and steady from place to place on your eyes. Do not drop it down as it spills a little here and there. SA in the store told me it will last for few months and asked not to not leave the cap open as it might get dried soon. Its great for a party wear.

Pros : 

• It gives a neat defined look on the eyes.
• Its waterproof and it stays for longer hours so girlz do not worry that it might get leaked.
• Its very easy to use and you can get a thinner or thicker coat as you wish.
• The effect on the eyes is too elegant with its blacky color

Cons :

• The pen is too silky which sometimes tend to drop from my hand while I apply
• If you are not careful while you apply it might give you a little strike which again you have to wipe it before it dries
• Even after wiping them through a nice remover I need to make sure everything is gone else next day morning my eyes look smoky (Aahhhh :( .. )
• As the eyeliner flows well take care you don't give any different shape at the end of your eyes.

My Take on the product : 

I was in sephora store looking around for a nice lipstick. Generally all colors would not suit us and I needed a color which would suit any dress i wear and need to match it with my skin color. When I came across this section I found a lot and lot of different colors and Yeah I was confused. The name on this lipstick was French Kiss and I thought I can try this lol. I just wore a single swatch of it and I found it glossy and shiny too. It gave a beautiful look to the lips and I felt the lips moisturized feel. I felt that I have found the right one and just grabbed it. I wore this for day and even in evenings with two swatches to make it more thicker and glossy. I did not want to have a gloss on it as it was already shining. Be careful you don't taste it because it just easily goes for a little water on it lol :). Overall I loved the look it gave me.

Pros :

• As claims gives a glossy glow to the lips which gives a sexily look 
• Its easy to use and a gloss is not required on top of it. May be you can use a base before you apply this to hold for long time.
• It do moisturize the lips and i did not find any bad effect on lips after removing it.
• It will last for long because even a single swatch would bring a glossy look.

Cons : 

• I really don't have any bad cons but then the smell is mild but not so good.

I will definitely try few more colors from Rouge Shine.
